Meadowside nursery cares for babies from 3 month – 11 years. We encourage parent to arrange a visit to the nursery in order to appreciate the quality of care on offer. The number and ages of children admitted to the nursery comply with legal requirement set out in the Framework for Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) 2017.
Prior to a child attending nursery, parents must complete and sign our childcare contract and registration forms. These may be collected in person from the nursery or by download from our useful information page. These forms must be completed in full to provide the nursery with relevant information and personal details of the child including dietary requirements, immunisation record and cultural background. These information will be used by Meadowside nursery to plan effectively and ensure that the need of individual child is met.
We require the following for safeguarding purposes Child’s birth certificate 2 photographs of the child photographic proof of ID for the primary carer and/or anyone with legal & parental responsibility Proof of address, If a child is been a subject of fostering/adoption, legal document relating to the adoption agreement will be required for sighting.
Our aim is for children to feel safe, stimulated and happy in the nursery and to feel secure and comfortable with all staff. We support parents and other carers to help children settle quickly and easily by giving consideration to the individual needs and circumstances of every child and their families. At Meadowside, we provide settling in sessions to help children’ transition to nursery environment as seamless as possible. During this period, practitioner work closely with parents to collect relevant information about the child to help them understand how to care for your children better.
All our staff know about the importance of building strong attachments with children. They are trained to recognise the different stages of attachment and use this knowledge to support children and families settling in to the nursery. Our key-person system has been praised by OfSTED in our recently concluded inspection as highlighted above.
